I've been runnin HD plugs, but just wondered if there's something better.

I run Autolite 4164's.

 

I run NGK-6046 Iridium IX in my 2010 FLHTK.

 

NGK DCPR8E with gap open to 1.0 mm (from 0.8 mm).

 

Autolites every other oil change

 

That's what I'm running too.

 

What happens when one opens or close the recommended gap?

 

Whatever you have confidence in is the best. I run Champion at the moment.

 

4164 Autolite's in all 3 of my bikes, you can get them at most auto parts stores which makes them cheap, they last as long or longer than most but they are so cheap I change them every year.
