Default '09 RK with Wild One 508's just installed!

I am 5'09" with arms that are not too long...This is a very comfortable ride for me now. The stockers just wouldn't cut it. The 508's give a bit of the wheelbarrow effect, but still very comfortable to me. The rise and pullback amounts are perfect. Just put 600 miles on her this past weekend with no complaints. Yes, I was able to keep the stock cables, and it took the stealership about two hours for the install. I was going to tackle the project myself, but decided against it because of ABS, cruise, security, and the fly-by-wire throttle...I was afraid to jack it all up. I am very happy with the outcome. Finding the right set is the hardest part, a pretty big gamble! I have since added passenger floorboard covers and the HD Sundownder seat (the stock is for sale in the classifieds touring section). Good luck everybody, ride safe.

good choice to doit by the stealer
because there are a lot of sensitive parts on those bars today
do you wiring it trough the bars or wiring outside the bar?

All the wiring was done internally with these bars. I love the clean look, only the brake cable and clutch cable still outside. Thanks for the compliments!

CJ
I have been kicking around doing this and it is betwen the 508's or the 518's.
Glad to hear no cable change needed. How about the wrist angle? I hear some complain about that with the 508's. I am 6'2" with a backrest and not sure if the 1.75" more pullback would be that big a difference with the 508's.
Oh, BTW I have a 2008 Road King.

Yeah, those 508's look awesome. I had them on my Roadking for a year but just couldn't get used to the wrist angle. My buddy had the 518's and he loved them.

I am 5'7 and just got off the phone with WILD ONES in Huntington Beach. They recommended the 508s for my 2009 Road King Classic also. The stock bars are killing me. Did the dealer charge you for the throttle wiring extension?
