Default SOHO hydraulic auto tensioner

There was a thread on here awhile back on auto tensioners ,the general consensus at that time was that the soho tensioner wasn't all that great,I have been hearing lately that they may of re designed it and was wondering if there is any truth to this and if so has anybody tried the new redesigned piece.

I've had a SOHO tensioner in my bike all summer it works just fine. As far as I know there where a couple of people on this sight that panned it with out even trying it.

I have owned 2 Hydrolic adj. from SOHB, both on EVO. And was happy
with both. So when I picked up the 08 RKC that was one of the things
I went to buy. Then found out HD had improved their adj. and SOHB
also had a new adj. and most were given it a thumbs down.
So I went to a wait and see mode, anyone have GOOD input? Tenn.Vol.

yeah that is the same mode I went in to ,was hoping they had addressed any issues they may of had with the 07 and up tensioner as I believe my HD unit needs to be replaced and would like to get something other than the hd unit.I heard hayden was coming out with one but I don't see anything on there website.

If you guys go back and read the posts on this product, the only people that panned it where people that hadn't actually put it in and tried it.
That's one of the down sides of this sight, you get opinions sometimes instead of facts.

I'll assume we're talking about the primary auto tensioner. Been running one for two years and works fine. Running a Hayden unit in the Buell since new, no issues there either.
