Talking From Deadhorse Down

My wife's friend decided it was time to quit his job and go on a motorcycle adventure. He is not riding a Harley, but his blog makes for some great reading.

I think he is on day22. His journey started in New Jersey. He is planning on traveling to Deadhorse, Alaska and southward (hence the name).

His name is Lenny. He has a GPS transponder so that you can track his exact position, takes lots of photos, and updates his blog every few days.

I wish I had the resources to do a trip like this.

Here is the link.

http://fromdeadhorsedown.wordpress.com/

Scroll all the way down to the bottom to read from DAY 1. You could even subscribe and they will send you an e-mail with all the updates.

Where's Lenny? Right now heading South through Alaska near Nenana.

Same here, wish I had the time and funding to pull something like this off too. Please pass our thoughts of safety and good will on his journey.

I failed to mention that Lenny plans to travel from the Northernmost "town" in North America to the Southernmost "Town" in South America....and Back to Jersey.

The southernmost town is mentioned in his blog. Somewhere in Argentina.

Must be nice.....
I'd like to cover every square inch of this earth on two wheels but I think I'll run out of money and day's before that happens!

I wish I was in his shoes.....he's making memories that will not be forgotten!

Awesome read. I admire his desire and commitment. If anyone has read his blog and enjoyed it you should really pick up the book "ghost rider" by Neil Pert, the drummer from rush. Excellent read only wish he had more pictures on his journey which covered over 50k miles. Thank you for sharing this and pass along my best wishes.

My wife had reservations about me on my 3 week trip, sheesh. Don't know about SA traveling though, drug wars are getting out of control.

Think I would settle for the Southernmost Town either in FL, TX or CA .. Things are not safe once cross the Mexican Border .. Wish him well on a safe and fun journey regardless..
