Default Hawg Wired radio adapter question (HUA360)

I must be living under an audio curse. after my factory radio bit the dust I replaced it back in January with a Hawg Wired HUA360 adapter and a Kenwood KDC-X493 head unit. Was working and sounding AWSOME. the other night the radio started going crazy. Cycling between ATT ON and ATT OFF modes, lost my handlbar controls, won't play correctly.

I'm trying to determine if the Hawg Wired adapter or the radio is the culprit. I pulled the outer fairing. there is a red led light on the hawg wired adapter that is not lit. I can't remember from back when I installed it, but I thought this light was on when the key was on. It's Sunday and I can't contact hawg Wired... does anyone here remember if that little red light on the adapter is on when the unit is powered? I've looked for a fuse on it and can't find anything. there is one fuse on the back of the radio and it's OK.

The right handlbae control will work to cycle it thru standby-ipod-fm- etc byt thats the only control thats working. left control is dead.
