So my question here is 14 or 16" i just ordered my 2011 ultraclassic just like my pic concord purple with the 110 motor, abs, security, tall boy seat, foot peg extension etc and i need apes. the apes on my roadstar are 18" and they feel awesome. they put my hands at shoulder level perfectly. but is the harley backbone higher than the roadstar. my friend has a soft tail with 16" apes and they are the same level. I would like to lower my arms like 1-2 inch's no reason just want them lower a little. im 6'4" with a 35 inseam and 37.5 tux sleeve measurement. i was looking at cyclesmiths 16 but thought maybe 14 may be good. nearest dealer is 2hr drive from here. and was hoping for some input before i make the trek..

 

not sure if u like carlini bars but i just put 17 inch eval bars and iam 5
'8 and my arms are straight and very comfortable. he also makes them in 14 inch also good luck on your decision. the bars are in my sigature pic on my road glide.

 

Here is 16" from HCC. I ordered 14", and this is what I got. I told them its not a prob. they just need to learn how to use a tape measure. Anyway, I gottum and lovum.

 

I put Wild1 577's on mine and like 'em a lot. Have them rolled forward , almost touching the fairing and they are about shoulder level with me at 6'

 

you got some kinda of hand gaurds on them? you more pics?

wow you guys got some sweet rides. cant fricken wait to get mine. anyway think ill go 16 cycle smiths should work great. headin the 2 hr drive to mqt this friday imma stop in the dealer there and try to see what height i like.. thank you for all the info..
