Woohoo! New 19" Agitator Front Wheel
#11
Thanks for the comments. No difference in handling that I can feel. I've only ridden about 10 miles home from dealership in rush hour traffic stop and go. The outside diameter of the tire is the same. Just the wheel size is 1" larger so the ride shouldn't change.
All the parts are listed on the HD website. The cost chewed up a 1200.00 dollar bill. Don't know when I'll be able to get a rear tire.

My sig pic bike has them if that helps. In 18" though, as the 19's have only just come out of course.
Small note to the OP regarding whether or not the bike rides different. Keep something small in mind, within two years ('09 - '11) Harley went from the OE wheel size of 17" front to an available 18" front, then made the front OE 18", and now those wheels (std. on the CVO SG) are 19". In order to make the circumference truly the same as the original 17", the new 19" would have one hell of a low profile tire. It does have a lower profile of course, but perhaps not 'that' low meaning that 19" is likely 'slightly' taller.
All that to say your ride quality will be a little rougher only because there is less sidewall to flex over the bumps relative to the 18", 17", & 16" wheels with higher profile tires respectively. Upside is a taller wheel/tire will always roll over bumps and whatnot smoother than a smaller diameter combo. Best part is the steering tightens up with lower profile tires. Overall I'm betting you're gonna like those sweet looking wheels even more once you get some miles on them to compare the difference.
Looks great!

Your saying 19" is slightly taller than 17"? But I don't think it is taller than my 18". It Could be, I didn't measure the outside diameter. I did measure the wall thickness and the 19" was 1/2" smaller wall. 1/2" per side wall = 1" on the diameter. So with that measurement I'm saying the 19" is the same outside diameter as the 18". Are you telling me the 18" and 17" tires are the same diameter too?
... on to the technical portion of the program
as far as the 19" being taller then the 17" and the 18" is different...etc...etc...etc...
here's what you do.. FORGET about the rim size.. look at the TIRE size..
the 17" is a 130/80/17 that = 25.19" outside diameter
the 18" is a 130/70/18 that = 25.17" outside diameter
the 19" is a 130/60/19 that = 25.14" outside diameter... ALMOST identical
(math lesson for those interested: how to brake down a 130/70/18 tire size... take 130 width.. which is in millimeters and divied by 25.4 to get it into inches = 130 / 25.4 = 5.12" next take .70 which is the profile ratio and mutiply it by the width 5.12" x .70 = 3.58" this is your sidewall height then mutiply x 2 for 2 sidewalls 3.58" x 2= 7.17" then add your rim height of 18" for a total of 7.17" + 18" = 25.17"... for those that know this sorry to waste your sreen space.. i thought it might help some guys )
p.s. the 21" that MOST guys run is a 120/70/21 that = 27.6" outside diameter... ALMOST 2.5 inchies BIGGER then stock thats why is pics up the front of the Baggers roughly an inch and messes with the frame geometry... and why i don't think i'd ever go that route... to each his own but 19" is enough BLING of me..
good luck.. ride safe!
