I'm told the rear HP will be about 45 days away...must be painted.....about 1200 dollars when the dust settles for parts/HP.....

May get one during the winter months...

Anyone know about chrome storage racks.. .something to bungy soft bags to ? Any pics?

Thx

I have one I got off e-bay for $250. Deals are out there. The only thing I had to get for it was a lock. It was 2-tone green/black when I received it. A friend in a marina shot it all black for me. Matches the Vivid Black perfect. My last bike was a FLHTC, so I missed the tour pac on occasion. I use it mostly during the cooler months to hold gear and when traveling, otherwise it is in the shed. Takes about an hour to put on/take off.

Got mine on ebay, painted it myself. Total cost was right around $600. Got a quick detach but haven't taken it off since I installed it.

I had the same idea as you and found a luggage rack to add to my passenger backrest. See pic. I found one from someone on this forum. Motherwell makes one for Road Kings and is 140.00 w/free shipping on ebay. I haven't had a chance to take a trip yet, but I think you could get just as much stuff stacked and bungee'd on a rack instead of a tourpack, especially if $$ is an issue.

You did a very nice job. It almost looks like the Firemen Edition with the fairing traded for a Road King windshield and fuel tank.

Thanks for your public service.
