Well I was suckered in to buying the 7 yr when i bought my '06.Paid $1900!
Yesteday I just picked up my bike from the shop, had to have another shift shaft seal replaced.
So far the ESP warranty has covered....
2 radios
Replace lifters
Replace 3 shift shaft seals
Replace 1 shift shaft.
I think I got my money back.

I was not going to get an extended warranty plan with my RK when I ordered it as they wanted 999.00 for the 5 year plan (Through military sales, ENCS) They then came out with a "rebate" on the extended warranty of 609.00 so I figured at 390.00 bucks it was worth it.
Like a fire extingusher or a firearm....hope I never have to use it but will be damn glad I have it in a time of need.....

Brilliant..... if you're the salesman or dealership.
The factory 2yr warranty should easily get one through the period during which you'll determine if it's problem child or not.
Having said that, you said it gives you piece of mind, so if it's worth it to you, that's all that matters.
If you have 2nd thoughts on it, you can back out & they'll refund it.
