Default Anyone use non-Harley gauges?

Looking to add oil temp and oil pressure gauges to my FLHTPI.
Has anyone here used non-Harley gauges? If so did you have any issues mounting them in the fairing?

Thanks.

I got a look alike oil temp gauge from S&S, it fits and looks just like a Harley Gauge!

I run the McEwan oil temp gauge, it fits fine.

I'm w/Trailfndr - saving some buck$ for the Dakota Digital gages. Like the look of those digits.

Dakota Digital. One of the best mods I've made for sure.

Do you know you will have to make up your own connectors for the bulb and the gauge of the oil pressure gauge and bulb for the oil temp gauge because the OEM police model interconnect harness doesn't have provision for those guages as a civilian EG does?

It's not difficult to do; but, you should know before you get started that you'll need some wiring work to add those gauges.
