Haven't had any problems out of mine. I never let the pump hold the weight of the bike, always drop it down on the locking pin.

mine got vapor locked once. i took the rubber plug out of the hydraulic pump and then released the foot valve to lower it. i added some oil in the hole that the rubber plug was in. never had a problem after that.

Harbor sells a stand alone air/hyd cylinder as an upgrade for their engine hoist. I bought mine for $80 if I remember right. One of the local repair guys fabbed one into his manual lift table and said it was the chit. I fabbed one into a snowmobile lift that had a cheapo screw jack. Pretty easy to do and it has worked great for years. Take a look. EW

What are these snowmobile things of which you speak?
Seriously, those look like they might be a blast to ride, someday I am gonna have travel to some snow and try one.

1200lb air lift from harbor freight no problems, a little weak near the drop out plate. but well worth the 550.00 i paid!!

I got the foot pump model and pump leaked like a seve after 6 months, dropped an electrichydraulic pump on it from an old Z turn mower. Hook it up to a small hydraulic cylinder and 12 volt battery and voila, power lift table.
