Default Is my cruise control incomplete?

I received my cruise control last night and the box looks incomplete. I have a 06 SG so anyone who has one I would appreciate the help. I received a modual, bag of nuts and ties, switch for the dash and a right hand control. Shouldn't I have a left hand control? What is on the left hand control? Does the dash switch eleminate the need for a new left hand control? I'm going out of town in about an hour or so and haven't had time to read the entire instructions, so I thought I would just ask you guys before I let.

Thanks for the help.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you need new controls, left and right, for cruise and RADIO functions. If you just have the right, you have a Road King kit!

BH may be right. I've always had cruise installed pre-delivery on my bikes and never added it myself.

I installed the cruise control kit on my SG last weekend. The right side is all you need (As long as the right kit was ordered). The right control has the cruise and stereo functions on it. The dash switch is for primary power to the unit.

No, you got the complete kit. I installed this kit on my bike. The left control is for the radio volume and CB controls (Ultra only). For symmetry, I bought a left side housing from an Ultra and installed it on the left side. . Not required, but if you don't, you have one switch on the left and two on the right, I just thought it looked wierd.

Cool now I know that it is complete, I have another concern. It appears I received directions for the wrong model bike. The instruction I received are for kit number 77197-04 (FLHR/I) and 77198-04(FLHRS/I). I ordered a 77196-04 (FLHT/C/CI and FLHX/I). Did any other SG owners get the wrong instructions? I not off to a good start here with this thing. I hope Chicago H-D is open today (Sunday) and can e-mail me the correct ones.

You may have the wrong directions. Mine say at the top "Cruise Control Kit for 2004 FLHT/C/CI". It also says in little tiny print right above it "Kit Number 77196-04". If you have problems when you intall it, let me know. It took me several hours but it is doable. Al. PS: Your gonna love it!

RK Kits come with right and left controls. Mine did anyway...

That would make sense due to a RK not having a fairing to put an on and off switch onto. The RK model should have that switch on the left side correct?
