Have a 06 Streetglide and a cyclemate cm2000 trailer. Started to make long trips with trailer this year. Problem is my Dunlop tire wears so fast when pulling my trailer. What is a better tire for pulling a trailer? Thanks guys.
What kind of mileage are you getting?
I can remember only getting about 8K miles out of a tire pulling a trailer in the 90's. My Sidecar rigg's were getting 5K to 6K
My '09 RG with the Dunlop D407 I got 14K out of it with about 8K being trailering.
Dunlop tires wear far better than Metzler... I run Metzlers and only get about 6,000 miles to a rear... I pull a trailer about 90% of the time as I have one for work to haul my tools.
5,000 or less just depends how much I pull the trailer. Just got back from 1,700 miles in 4 days. Had to buy a tire that should have lasted the rest of the year after 600 miles with trailer on.
