You still get more grunt on the low end, and when you do change the cams later with the stage one you come out ahead of the same being done on a 96. 103 kits from the dealer ain't cheap to upgrade your 96, having it, even with wimpy cams has you way ahead of the game. You also get the oil cooler, and the SE compensator on the '11 Limited, and the ABS, cruise, and security also come standard on the limited.
Price a classic with a 96, and then price the upgrade to a 103, add in the oil cooler, SE compensator, ABS, Security, and CC, tell me it won't come out to be more than just buying the Limited.
Also down the road if you were to trade your bike in, the Limited will be worth more because it came with said options from the factory, to any dealer the cheaper bike with add ons, is still the cheaper bike, they're not going to give you extra for things you added later.
Just my $0.02 and some of the reasons that swayed me to the Limited over the Classic.

That's something the Limited should offer out of the box, IMO.
