Default SK brand tools from Sears

I notice Sears sells a lot of SK brand tools. Is SK another Sears
brand like Craftsman? I've never heard of them and didn't know
what their quality is like.

SK has been around for many many years and are excellent tools every bit as good as craftsman, but I dont think you can beat craftsmans no BS garantee. No other tool company has a better one, not snap-on or any of the others, snap-on will only warranty it if it breaks due to normal use and if you bought it from them new, if you wear it out too bad, they will be glad to overcharge you for another one.LOL Craftsman will garantee and replace, without a reciept to any owner no mater why it breaks or stops working or just plain wears out.

I haven't noticed them at sears yet, haven't really looked much there in a long time but to the best of my knowledge SK isn't a sears brand per say, just a brand they carry. I have seen them elsewhere over the years. As far as I can tell they are no snap-on, probably around craftsman quality, but finish wise (if that matters) isnt quite as nice as even craftsman. Little more of a rough finish, not as polished and shiny.

Glad to here Sears is carrying SK haven't seen any yet. Have some of my fathers SK wrenches must be 50 years old, have some new ones also that I purchased. Don't know about the finish on the wrenchs being not as good as Craftsman but they make some fine ratchet wrenches. Used to be sold only at professional auto parts stores(not Advance, or Auto Zone type) and on tool trucks in this area. Good quality.

I see them on the Sears website. They seem to be more expensive than Craftsman.

probably just my shortsightedness, comparing some of the SK tools I have in my box that are probaby 30 years old to the nice shiny new stuff on the shelves at sears I guess.

Craftsman's quality has gone downhill in the past few years and their chrome chips off easily. I cut the pi$$ out of my finger with the chrome peeling off a nut driver. Sharp as a razor. I guess that's why the Snap On truck stops at my house.

SK are quality tools. At one time, they were a "mechanics" tool like Snap-on or Mac. Sears?....I question anything from Sears now that K-Mart owns them. You can buy Craftsman tools at K-Mart now.

SK tools are good tools, like said above, the craftsman tools are going down in quality lately.
