Interesting thread.... When I first test rode my 09 UC I thought the same thing, my feet are too close to the bike and did not fee natural to me. I have been riding a 1999 Yammie RSV and a 2006 Yam Strat, those bikes you sit spread out, very wide and comfy stance. So getting on the UC it felt like I had to force my feet inwards... Which brings me to my question, moving the boards out is great, but you still have to twist and force your feet inwards to work brake and shifter. Do they make shift peg extenders or a foot brake extension?

I just got some this week. I will have them on tomorrow. I also put this purchase off for awhile.

I've been running the 3/4's for a while now, with the Walters Workshop extended rear shifter and its alot more comfortable.

I have the 3/4 inch extensions and I agree that they improved comfort. I will occasionally scrape them, but in general that has not been an issue.

I went for a ride for the first time with them today. I wish I would have not put this purchase off. What a difference with my feet actually being on the boards. They are a must have.

I like mine.

Only scraped once, on a low speed leftie, leaning way over. Otherwise, its a non-issue.

I always scrape on tight turn, mostly a u-turn. Not scraping on normal riding I am not very aggresive. I just like to cruise around. I got the 1 inch extenders thinking that if the were too much I could just cut them down to 3/4. But the 1 inch is perfect.

I have run the extenders all summer, like them alot. No issues with shifter or brake operation. Makes the ride more comfortable. Highly recommend these for comfort.

I run the 1" spacers from Soo's and have never scraped the boards, quess that means I'm getting old. Much more comfortable leg position and no problem with reaching the brakes and shifter.
