In my opinion that is alot of money to spend just for a few times you would use hard lowers.

I had a 04 RK but went with soft lowers because the majority of the time I needed them was in terrential downpours or snow time when all that salt was on the road. Other than that I wore enough clothing to accomodate. The soft ones cost 45$ I think and they worked the last 5 years or so.

Now my '11 Ultra, they are on forever most likely unless I decide to fork out the detachable kit.

I love my lowers no reason to take them off they open for more air and close to keep the rain off.

They look like a lowered E-glide w/o passing lamps with lowers! In other words "AWSOME"!!

i think they look dope, especially with some spreakers in them. i have been thinking about putting sounds on my King, and would deffinaetly add a set of them with 5 1/4's (or 6 1/2's, can't remember which ones fit) to them.

I think they lend a finished look to the bikes. Any of the touring bikes will look good with the pontoons.

I sat on a SG with lowers at the dealer yesterday. Same color as mine and it looked DOPE. Definitely on my wish list.
