Well like anything else it all gets boring. My run is between St Pete Florida where I live and SE Tenn where I own property and am building a house 658 miles taking every shortcut I can find. Most all this driving is done in the truck as I'm always bringing building supplies, towing a trailer etc. I generally keep a bike in both places for my riding pleasure.
People come to the Tenn house wanting to ride the Dragon so once again even though I tell them theres much better riding than there they still want the bragging rights. My self I'm over it and have been for years.
IMO the best thing to happen there is the resort got a beer license so I can at least drown my boredom.

Easy, I'm right about 60 miles NE of Atlanta up I-85 and only about 10 miles or so over to I985/365. Can ride 129 up through Gainesville over Blood Mountain through Blairsville hit a few less know roads I like to ride that shortcut back to 129 East of Murphy and in no time at all I am in Robbinsville. Haven't clocked it in a good while but best I remember it isn't even 100 miles the way I go. Find it tough to look down at seedo when I am smilin so much

Well just got back and wanted to take time to thank all the people who helped make this a great trip with all their sugestions. If anyone is going to Maggie Valley just want to give a heads up to stay at the Clarkton Motel. Great people!! Phil and Tammy are both bikers, they offer extra towels to dry your bike and a area to wash it as well. 2 days we had rain and Phil even gave me his truck to use. All around great people and great rates. If you stay 6 days they give you the 7th night free. Spent the whole week for $260, cant beat that at all. Again thanks to all!!!

We have to postpone our trip - due to scheduling conflicts. So looks like Spring time for us, although fall would be ideal. Based on travel time etc it would better for us to make it a week trip then just a weekend getaway - I have having to race to get somewhere, I want to enjoy and absorb the ride!
