How much are you willing to spend?
You can go as inexpensive as changing out the springs and adding a bit heavier fluid...
You can change out to race Tec front end and include the Gold emulators
You can get the Ricor Intimidators which replaces the dampener valve...
You can go to the new over the counter progressive mono tube kit...
You can get a completely custom built front end thru Traxxion Dynamics
There's endless choices out there...
You decide...
Now comes the hard part trying to decide on what route you want to go...
Am I going to keep the bike a short amount of time and ride it occassionally or is this going to be the last bike I'm going to get and want only the best since I ride alot with me riding 70% of the time solo and the better half the other 30%...How many miles will I put on the bike per year? What kind of riding am I going to do? where am I going to ride?

To be perfectly honest and speaking for myself...the stock front end with 15wt is the best bang for the buck...
I'm not planning on buying another bike anytime in the near future and I want the best out there so mu entire suspension is going to get up graded just as soon as I can get some extra funds together...Traxxion and Ohlins for me...
Presently running the Ricor and there not bad now that I have had the chance to put soom miles on them but if I new then what I have realized now I would have just left it stock and changed out the fluid...IMHO...I haven't been knocked out of the ball park with them...I have only gotten to ride the race tec front ends briefly but that was when the springs were 120# not the 145# which are in the 09 and newer models...
best of luck sorting this all out...

The Traxxion cartridges only have rebound adjustment and the Ohlins will have rebound on one leg and compression on the other. I also believe the Ohlins will have a larger diameter cartridge than the Traxxion but until the Ohlins are released for the Touring forks I can't be sure and all indicators are the Ohlins will be more money than Traxxion.
