Any flip out cd/dvd player with navigation that will fit flhx?
Is there any flip out dvd players that have navigaton built into them that will fit a street glide. Id like to get one just for the navigation screen. I didnt know if they make one that is waterproof and one that will fit? I just wanna use the flip out screen for navigation and would leave it closed when i wasnt using it.

Flip out screen
I would love to have one of these flip out nav units. I worry about holding up from vibration and weather. Any info on this would be appreciated. Glacier Pearl I sent you a PM a while back about this and never heard back from you. You've had yours awhile now . What do you think????

Vibration has never been a problem. However, I don't use mine for navagation,....so my screen is in about 90% of the time that I ride.
Mine has never been caught in the rain with the screen "out". Biketronics gave me a "water shield", plastic cover thingy , that goes over the unit when it's closed.
So,....I guess I am really no help. As with most purchases like this,............BUY THE WARRANTY !! ( Kenwood has a 2 year fre mfg warranty on my unit).
Good luck with your decisions.

I am looking at doing the same thing on my SG. However, I wanted the Sirius moving weather map like what is offered in some cars these days. I called Kenwood, Alpine, and Pioneer, and they all told me that no aftermarket stereos have this feature yet. The CES show (where all new electronics are announced to the world) takes place just after the first of the year. Some may wonder why one would want moving weather map on a bike. If you ride in a hail storm one time in Sturgis, and later find out you could have skirted it if you could have seen which way it was moving.
