If you find a special fitting, let us all know. That is the most difficult maintaince issue I have with my bike. I swear the bearings were dry the first time I serviced the bike. Then, over the summer, the grease got so hot in the desert heat of the garage, it melted out of my grease gun. Now you can find it in my produce drawer of my refridgerator.

actually the EG or at least my 04 was easy with a special grease gun fitting that allowed the fitting to slide on from the side. it would not work with the RG but the eg just trun the forks all the way to the right and it gives you plenty of room. Any auto parts store has them and they are like 5.95

I dont have a problem getting to the zerk. I just dont have a grease gun, and was wondering if there was anything special I needed, or will any grease gun work...

any grease gun with a flexible hose. I suggest a better quality grease gun tho as some of those cheap ones just don't work very well.

I just got one with a flexible tube at autozone for $15 and it works fine.

This is what is needed to replace the standard coupling on the grease gun.

yes ur right, the factory just hand packs the head bearings just enough to get by. I greased mine as soon as i got it home from the dealer. Used high temp Super Blue Kendell. it took about 30 with a hand pump. Stopped when it just starts to show. Nothing dripping down. Alzie 2011 road glide ultra thx...........

It is simple, remove the straight grease fitting and install a 45 degree fitting. It just screws in. You can get one at any auto parts store.
