As with any forum you will get a lot of different answers, same for dealers. Here are a couple good rules of thumb:
If you only change the exhaust and not the intake, you should not need to remap.
If you change both you should remap or run a fuel management system.
2.0 Rush will rattle a FEW windows when the packing burns in.
2.25 Rush will rattle a LOT of windows when the packing burns in, so yeah, .25" makes a difference.
Either setup is pretty mellow with a little common sense, but can wake the dead if you hammer it in town between buildings.
Rush does make a 2.5" baffle, but not recommended for a stock motor, could cause a drop in low end torque.
