Question 91 Ultra Radio

Guys help me out
My riding bro has a 1991 Ultra with a broken radio for years hes ridding with it not working. I found a replacemment radio on E Bay HD PN 76164-94A anyone have access to an old parts book? Will this radio work in his bike although its an 91 and the radios part # is a 94??
Will it be a plug and play? He's a good Bro short on cash Id like to help him out! Guy on E bay wants $150 or Best offer? Thanks Bill

Can't answer specifically, but you could call Radio Sound, HD's vendor for those years: (502) 267-6768, ask for customer service.

Call John Smith at Radio Sound. They made the radios for Harley back then. He helped me out several times on my '91 but I can't say for sure that HE is there any more. Their number is (or used to be) (800) 367-4506. They are at: 1713 Cobalt Drive, Louisville, KY 40299. They can tell you what is interchangeable.

Yes, the radio is the same as the one in your's. The 76164-94A radio is the same radio as the 76164-88A. the differenced is the plugs used to connect to the factory wiring. You can change the plugs on the radio to match the ones on your bikes wiring, or change the bike plugs to match the Radio's. I suggest the latter. The newer plugs are better and are resistant to moisture.
