Gonna try and post my sound clip of my supertrapp 2-1 with open end cap, its a losy clip but you can hear the open end cap. Its not Fatcat header but sound will be simular. My bike ran great with the trapp used to run one on my 86 fxr but I have an exhaust addiction so its gone...

My sister is a blonde, told her to just film the take off but blondes will be blondes.

I didn't change the muffler but I did modify the one I had. I got a much quieter sound at cruise, deeper sound at idle, still roars when I get on it, no more hollow sound.

Sancho,
We went that route, twice, and by myself it wasn't bad at all but once I went two up well forget it way too loud. I don't think there's enough of a muffler there to do what I want.

You also wanna be sure to get the endcap I have in the pic. It's labeled "closed course use only", but it's the one ya want.
Phil,
What kind of build are you running thru that muffler?
How many disc's?
I take it thats a open end cap?
I probably would stay with a closed one,I just want flow without the noise.
Can you compare it to a stock system sound wise?
Sorry for so many questions,I just don't want to spend another 200.00 and find out its too loud. Thanks
