Default saddle bag lock fell apart

Got to work the other day and went to unlock saddlebag and my key turned almost 180 deg. Opened lid and the locking latch fell on the ground. Its located under the material that holds the lid to the bag. Never did find the nut. Tried 8 or 9 nuts at hardware store and couldnt find one that fit. Anyone know what size nut is needed?

Same prob for me after a 1100 miler with the wife. I went to the dealer and the parts were, are you ready for this...$4.90! I left with a smile for a change, so check with them they will most likely be in stock. Get the nut, washer, and spring if the whole ball of wax is gone.

Same thing happened to one of mine.Found the nut and washer on the ground were I park at work.
I put blue Loctite on them after.
Also its a good idea to check all the screws that hold the latches on.

That's why the Moco can charge whatever for a replacement.

Same boat different problem. Latch and nut on left side bag both missing. Do the dealers stock the latch or do I need to buy the whole lock?
