Default Damn Deer

Coming home this afternoon from a great ride when out of nowhere a big doe runs out in front of me and the wife. All I could do was pray and scream like a 4 year old girl because I thought I was about to die. I hit her completely broadside. Her head came around the faring and hit me square in the left side of my chest. One of the hoofs hit my knee. Deer Crap went everyhwere. All over the bike and all over the wife and me. I do not know how, but I held my line tight and held it up. We did not go down. I pulled over and checked out the damage. I will need a set of turn signals and spots, and a new front fender. Other than that and a GOOD cleaning, I felt very fortunate. Watch for those Damn Deer.

Glad to hear you are ok. Sounds like you did a good job keeping the shinny side up.

Good Job, Glad you are OK.
Good thing she wasn't a he when the head came around,
you would of been screaming like a 16 year old girl on prom night with something hard poking into your body.

Glad your ok. The outcome of that could of been a lot different. Way to hold that bike up and straight. My dad has hit 2, one off a bank jumped right on top of the front fender. The other was broadside in the middle of the day. Both times bike went down and dad got banged up. Glad to hear you guys are OK

Probably hitting it square on saved you. Glad everythings ok but you can't blame the brown in the seat on the deer, well sort of.

Yea I had a very near miss ( clipped it's tail ) a few weeks ago. Well then the little sucker decided to run along side of me long enough for me to hit my Cam on and catch it crossing well in front of me .

I did the same thing as you Hard Brake but wanted to hit it straight on if I had to. Glad it worked out for you reassures that I did the right thing. Oh and I had my 16yrold daughter on with me she really was screaming like a 16yrold girl lol
