Glad you're ok. You obviously hit a "country deer". Some of the deer around here are "city deer" that live in urban areas and graze along the roadside and in yards(no hunting in city limits). They are pretty much used to traffic and humans and don't panic when they cross the road. There's a tame deer here that stops and looks both ways, then waits until it's clear before it crosses.

 

Hey Truckerdave, you should take that city deer and release it into the wild so it can teach the country deer the proper procedure.
