Why Black shows swirls?

I have the Glare Spider (Swirl) Remover and the regular Glare Polish.
The former is OK but no miraculous results that you might expect. Most of the swirls are still there.
The latter works great and lasts up to 5 years.
I'm going to give Turtle Wax Black Box a try.
I love my Vivid Black Swirl bike (a nod to gunner11) but it could use a little help now.
