I have a good one for you guys, My 08 ultra was chewing up ring gears and starter clutches like a school of Piranha... Did the SE compensator, another ring gear, starter clutch and even replaced the chain tentioner with a Hayden tentioner all seem to work well together, but I noticed a noise that kinda sounds like an exhaust leak when I first hit the throttle when sitting still and (I feel stupid saying this) when I slow down to say go around a corner and down shift to 1st gear as I accelerate the bike feels like I have the brakes on ie; no power right thru 2nd gear then it's fine....Any ideas?????

Your Not Bashing the Great HD when they Know there is a Problem, and Refuses to Correct or Recall the Compensator that could Distroy your engine!!!

Old thread. I installed the latest Harley comp but have put few miles on it so far. It is doing a fine job so far. I have never heard of a total comp failure so the bike wouldn't move, so a safety recall is pretty tough. The ABS failure is another situation. A safety device that has the potential to FAIL the brake should be recalled. Harley's fluid change is hardly a "fix". Both the comp and the ABS look ripe for class action suits to me, but I'm not a lawyer.
