Default 07 Tranny Noise Fix

There is only one way to insure a fix for the 07 trannies. I have an 07 Streetglide and had the 5th gear problem. I did the Baker F6 fix(hellicut gears) and put on an IDS system. The tranny is quite as can be. That is the only way to quiet the tranny. Trust me , NOTHING ELSE WORKS! I did it 3 months after I purchased the bike in 08/07.

Mine started making noise at 25K. They put a new output bearing and shaft in it. The dealer said they had seen it before. I've got 30K on the rebuild, only time will tell.

The 08 touring bikes have the IDS from the factory which pretty much eliminates any clanking (rocks in a can) noise. The 08 could still whine in 1st and 5th just like some of the 07's and 09's.

please change your transmission oil to royal purple 75-140. you'll experience smoothness and quietness like you can't believe. or redline shockproof, i like the royal purple cause i can get it at auto zone or any of the car chain stores. and the transmission will no longer whine, and will shift like mine does, like butter, it still clunks when shifting into first from neutral when cold, but after warmed up, a click if even that. and it shifts gears as quietly as a jap bike, and that's a great thing, the japs did great design work with their transmissions. please swap to the synthetic 75-140, you'l be very happy indeed. and your transmission will thank you too.

Same experience here with 07 Ultra and same miles.
I added the IDS but now wonder why.

You might have better luck starting a new thread regarding the "no start" issue. Is it getting spark? Is it getting gas?
