It wont be a fuse, a fuse will not fix itself, a relay will reset and work till it kicks off, just like a circuit breaker in your house, overload it, it kicks off then you reset it. I would however remove and replace one at a time all relays and fuse's just to make sure its not a bad connection.

 

Gunrunner- You mean to remove, look at and replace all fuses/circuits with the same ones. Right? One at a time inspecting each one.
I don't think you mean to replace NEW every one of the them at this point?

 

Yes, they just pull out, pull em then push em back in, I have seen where water has made a cold connection and caused something not to make good contact, but I guess I would try and replace the one relay that could cause your problem, they are marked on the plastic cover under the left side cover.

all of this input has been extremely helpful. gunrunner, i did what you mentioned with the fuses and the problem still exists. however, i did not try replacing the relay(s). you say there is only one specific?
what you say makes sense, because when mine dies--like my bucs012, i have to turn off both the ignition and kill switch which seemingly RESETS the whole circuit.

Well picked the bike up last night. Did not die on me....yet. They found nothing that they could SEE that would cause the bike to keep dieing.
Coming home, I prayed while on the interstate in a consutruction zone (down to 2 lanes) with cement side barriers on both sides of 2 way traffic for 3 miles. If the bike decided to die on me I was DEAD along with the bike. No where to go with an 18 wheeler right behind me at 55 mph. [:@]

If this keeps up, I am sending a certified letter to HD with both my shop receipts, with this exact example! I am puttig my freaking life at risk! They need to start replacing relays, coil or something till something works!

 

Absolutely BRUTAL....you just know it's gonna happen again....sooner or later....and that SUCKS! Gotta be impossible to enjoy a ride with that omen hangin' over ya.
