Default Looking at a Road King - Need input

Hey guys, I've decided to get a Road King, the Street Bob just can't get done what I want to do as easily as I want to do it.

So I did some research and really like the Road King Custom. I have been looking and found a 2007 RK Custom with 10k miles. White, with windshield, no sissybar. Stock pipes and intake. New tires. A few minor upgrades, pegs, grips, which I like. I took it for a test ride, no problems I noticed. Way too quiet. lol The primary was a little loud, but I have read that is normal for the 07 RK.

Price is $13,200

Any concerns with that? Any other issues I should be looking for on the bike?

Any input would be appreciated.

Those Road King Customs are great bikes. I have an '04 FLHRS that I think I'll be keeping for many yars to come. It was my 4th Road King.

The price is pretty much retail for around this area.

I think you'll like it.

Yeah, I like the 6 speed to it. I can always upgrade pipes and bars later. I gotta get the apes

That sounds good. Always get a used bike that has not been altered is my motto.

I've had my '07 RK Custom since April, and this is the bike that I will keep until it just won't run anymore. I can't think of any reason you should not buy that bike. I guess the price is about right; I paid around $12,500 for mine, with 6,000 miles, Rhinehart True Duals, Fuel Pak, and the 14" smoked windshield, sissy bar/luggage rack.

The Road King models are about the greatest thing since sliced bread! Very few changes to its outstanding design make it very timeless among the HD models. Unfortunately the 6-speed is of little use here in freeway land where there's a CHP with a laser gun behind every shrub.

Yeah, here in Colorado there is a lot of back country mountain riding. I go 80MPH pretty regularly. And my Street Bob has me spoiled with the 96inch and 6th gear.

Did I mention the stock Road King is too quiet? LOLOL

They are nice rides it wouldn't hurt to try to get the price down enough for a sissy bar. Good luck.

Snoop, if it helps...5 days ago I bought a 2006 RK custom with 13K miles. I paid $13,500...I traded up from a softail and have zero regrets. Enjoy it and ride safe! May I also add, the dealer was asking $15K for it. I talked them to $13.5 new grips and a set of vance and hines true duals for it. It took 4 hours of negotiating but I got it.
