There's not much difference other than the tour pak. Neither one comes with fairing lowers.

If you're thinking about buying, I would strongly consider the EG because you can always remove the tour pak. You will have the best of both setups that way.

Here is a beautiful Blue Electra Glide that belongs to one of the members here.

Street Glide has lower rear shocks, no passing lamps, white gauges, less chrome, no saddlebag guards, different rims, different seat, short windshield, no pinstripes, etc.

Lower suspension...white gauges. seat. spot lights, saddlebad guards... I am 6'1" so the SG wasn't for me.

Different fenders and maybe wheels, no bag guards, different mirrors.

The SG has no passenger floorboards either. Hard to beat the EG's bang for the buck.

SB has a lowered suspension, different rear lights and signals, no driving lights up front. Has a differenent rear finder in that is has the saddlebag gap filler Also has the shortly blck wind screen instead of windshield.

I like the looks of the SG over any EG. Can add a tour pack if you want...or better yet just go with a Saddlemans or similar tour bag that you can tag on/off as needed in about 30 secs. The aftermarket bag will cost you 200 bucks and not the 1K plus needed for the rear tour back and hardeware. Even more if you g o"quick" disconnect.

Good info here. This is exactly what I was looking for.

I definitely like the look of the SG over the EG but there are so many EGs out there at reasonable prices that its got me thinking...
