I knew a policeman who flew out to the factory to buy his POSE direct from them. He saved a quite a bit of money, even factoring in the plane ticket costs. He then drove it back home, about 1400 miles.
Sure the local dealer by the factory did not do the prep and paperwork?
Dealers should be pissed off if the factory was selling "direct" and bypassing them. Even factory delivery on Corvettes consists of an order written by the dealer of your choice and you pay a "factory delivery" charge.
