Default Anyone try the Kicker Batwing Speakers?

I saw on Kuryakyn's website that Kicker makes a replacement speaker for the 06-11 touring bikes with a Batwing.

Anyone try these? I know Kicker makes a pretty premium product for car audio, and I am very intrigued on the performance of these in a motorcycle application.

I installed a pair a couple months ago. I didn't see a huge difference but they are better than stock.

Hope this helps.

I had them installed in Sturgis. I was looking for less distortion at high volume. They were not the answer. I think they would be fine if they had built in crossovers or a crossover wired inline. It just seems there is not a good option to preventing the distortion from the base in such a small speaker.

I had a pair in my old '06 Standard. I installed them with a 240 watt amp and used my iPhone to drive the amp. Worked good, sounded GREAT! I was thinking about putting them in our new bike till I found some J&M's for a real good price on eBay....Running J&M 5.25" 3 ways front and rear now. About as loud as stock, but much fuller, deeper sound.

Kicker's were great with the amp. Not sure what they would be like without the power...I know I was kinda let down by the stock sound of the new bike without a amp. Still thinking about adding a amp....

Thanks. Any idea what amp I would use that would work best with these? The stock are drowned out at highway speeds.

Too many amps out there to mention, I have a hawgwired because I like the fact it sits on top of the radio, but I hear the J&M is supposed to be good also. And for the moneyARC has some really nice amps......

Not really, they are all $$$$ for using with the stock system! Looking around a little at that myself. I have found a Sony 600 watt 4 channel at Wal-Mart I'm thinking about trying. Put it under my tour pak, drive all 4 channels. Its 2 ohm stable, so that will work ok. Its only $99, and I have never had any problems with Sony.....Would need to find a amp harness to tie it in....

It has been a while since I've been in the stereo game I am surprised kicker doesn't offer a amp for these too??
