In the middle of a ride yesterday ('08 SG), the sound from my HK stereo started to become garbled intermittently. I thought it might be a reception problem, but the same thing happened when I switched to CD. When I would turn the radio off and then on again, it would improve for a few seconds, but would then degrade again. This morning when I turned it on, I was able to see the display but got no audio at all. Later in the day the audio came back with the same poor sound as yesterday. I'm hoping it is as simple as a loose connection. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

 

Check your speaker wire spade connectors inside the fairing. One of mine was slightly loose and it caused some intermittent sound quality issues. I pushed all of them tightly on and the issue seems to have gone away,

 

Thanks. I took the fairing off today and made sure the connections were good. One seemed like it might be loose,. I put it back together and everything seems to be working for now.
