Default Floorboard angle

So last year I got Harleygoodie's floorboard extensions and one of the "side effects" was that I found that I was that I drag my right side floor board rather frequently when making right turns. I always do my best to not cut a hard right but it still happens. So today I decide to change the angle on the right floor board and all I can say is dang! For one the angle change raised the heel about an inch and that really changed the feel alot. So I am wondering if anyone else has done this and how it felt and did you get used to it or change it back? I am just about to want to change it back but I will give it a few days to see if I can adjust. Just to be clear I am not willing to take the floorboard extensions off!

I raised the front of my floorboards to the center position when I installed my extensions and I'm not sure why the bike didn't come this way. I love it!

Well I think I am going to leave the heel raised on the right side. Monday I was ready to put it back and deal with it but now I am getting used to it and am able to corner so much better now. No more floor board dragging for me

Raised my right one up 2 weeks ago. Loving the extra clearance.

Did take a ride or two to get used to it though.

I'm on a 06 Road Glide. How can you adjust the angle? My right side is also at a terrible angle that I constantly scrape.

I've fiddled with mine, finding the so called sweet spot. Don't know that I've really found it, but it feels nicer now. I'm short legged, so I raised mine. Makes getting my foot onto the brake pedal easier as a bonus. Now as for why Harley felt I only need two adjustments on one side, and three on the other, that's a different question!

When I put the footboard extension on my 07 RK I just moved the front to the next hole
up on the frame for a more comfortable feel for me. When I put the footboard extensions
on the 14 SG, there was no extra hole to adjust to

maybe they were on an 07 but not on my 09 ultra or my 12. I too bought the extenders but I didn't like the way they looked so took them off.

I drag my floorboards all the time and believe it or not, not on purpose. Having a 1/2 lower rear end and 3/4" lower front end on this Ultra was the best thing I ever did even at 6'4". just puts the floorboards closer to the ground and decreases your "lean angle". I've just resorted to the fact that it's a maintenance item and when I get tired of looking at the worn down floorboard pan, I change it out.

The brackets were adjustable vertically about 1/2" on models up to 2008. In 2009 they became fixed with the new redesigned frame.
