After 5 years on a RKC, saw a 2010 Black WG and had to have it in April. I tend to impulse by every once in a while..well..often.
Very nice bike, but miss the touring. Stopped by the dealer and saw a 11 black SG w/103.

It is only a matter of time before i trade in...and take a bath in the process...

Don't feel bad. I traded in a perfectly fine 2009 Street Glide for a 2010 Ultra Limited.

 

Think Many of us have been there .. My 08 EGS ran and looked perfect, one of the few Bikes owned never even saw a dropsie .. But had to have it all when broke in to a Touring Model and traded it for 09 Ultra...

 

I agree that settling in to what you already have and learning to have a sustained love affair with it can be a daunting proposition. However, although the new bikes are beautiful (particularly the CVO Street Glide), I think I'm feeling pretty dang happy with my '09 Street Glide. It's taken me a long time to get it just like I want it (not quite there yet but close) and I know that if I brought home a new one it would be soooo expensive. I think I'll learn to accept the fine ride I've got and see what tomorrow brings...

 

I also had an expensive lesson,went from a Valkyrie Tourer to a 2010 Wide Glide then realized at 55 while I loved the look of the Wide Glide I really needed to be back on a touring bike.After 11 months and 7,000 miles I traded for a new 2010 Ultra Classic Electra Glide.I am very happy with this bike and it ill be with me for a lot of years God willing.

 

i was trading the RKC anyway...wanted the larger motor, 6 speed, new frame design..but should've just went to another touring..instead of thinking i would enjoy the ride of the WG on the highway for long periods.
love the ability to zip around and what not..

 

It's only money. And I understand that it is good to take a bath every now and then.

 

Like someone said earlier "You only live once"....... Go For It!

 

The piper will always be paid. Can you live with the decision? Lot of luck to ya!
