I had MCC do my stock SG seat. They did double memory foam in the back and lowered and memory foam in the front. At first it seemed great. But I just did an all day ride, with a few stops along the way and my *** was KILLING ME...
I had a Double Decker mod applied to my Road Glide. No height or other seating adjustments were made. I put 890 miles on it the first day and have almost 6,000 on it now. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Alan worked on mine back in the spring. He recamended just 2" memery foam front and back. 7000 miles later I can say that is the best money ($175) I have ever spent. If you have it done at a rally get there early and be wainting when they open in the morning or you will miss out.
When he says it takes 7 to 8 hundred miles to break in, he's not kidding. I thought I had made a mistake. Had the single memory foam, just rider seat, on my reach seat. My butt was killing me still, so went back to using my airhawk. That made it even worse. Finally just dealt with it and sure enough, one day I was riding and had no pain....right at 800 miles after having it done.
I have an '08 U/C seat on my '08 R/G......MCC scooped my side out and gave
it more of a 'set-in bucket' effect, and had memory foam added.
Passenger seat has double memory foam.......
Back to back 500 mile days are easily attainable.....with no discomfort.
