Cant wait til next friday - picking up a 2011 purple & black street glide!!! has the power pack & putting on Rinehart xtreme true duals,fuel management, brawler solo. I have 2 other bikes, 2000 Wide Glide - concord purple & 2007 Ultra - black. Always liked the street glide and thought if they ever came out w/ a purple and black I would not be able to resist.
Had plenty of time to think it over though, havent been able to ride all summer due to accident that left me w / a broken knee cap -- brace wil be falling off like Forest Gump next friday at quiting time!!
when the shop called and had me come look at it last Wed the deal was done -- got out w/ only 1 impulse add-on ----- the I-Pod interface, thought that would be pretty slick (plus $$) --- MY QUESTION IS -- with the Ultra I got a plug for the intercom that lets me wear ear buds for the tunes -- where do you plug ear buds in on the street glide, since no intercom jack?

Congrats on the new bike, it will probably seem like forever until pick up day. As far as I know, there are no connections for listening to music other than the fairing speakers on bikes without the intercom.

 

Congrats on the New Ride can't help you on the tunes other than whats been said ..

Sweet scoot - they came out w/awesome color schemes on the 11's. IRT headset plug - maybe ask your HD dealer if they can add it onto the FLHX...??

Think I got it figured out, not cheap - but it will allow me to use ear buds. What I will do is pick up a Ultra tank console w/ the intercom connect. Harley then has a switch kit to put on the dash to toggle from speaker to intercom. Will pick up a intercom plug adapter from Cycle Gadgets that allow headphone jack plug in. Then I have choice between external speakers and the ear buds. This should be a great set up when used w/ the I pod interface. Lot more money than I was hoping but after the wallet sting soothes and the music is playing, life will be good. Thanks for the input!
