Default HK Stereo volume fluctuation....

I have a 2010 FLHTK with 7,000 kms on it and something weird seems to be happening with the HK stereo.

When I am listening to the stereo while riding with my wife using the Boom intercom system, the volume fluctuates from normal to so quiet you cannot hear it. Happens with both the external speakers and the internal headphone speakers.

Has anyone experienced this?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

If the volume goes down when you stop you have the AVC set to max.Otherwiseit's hard to say.

Could be one of the volume switches, maybe she doesn't like your taste in music.

Not the AVC - this volume fluctuation only happens when the stereo and intercom are running simultaneously

Do you have the VOX set right. If it's too sensative the wind/road noise will open the intercom and silence the music.

Great suggestion - I thought that this might be a problem so I dialed it way down this morning, but it didn't seem to fix it.

Any other thoughts? Please

I noticed today that the volume was low on my radio. I checked and the intercom was on but didn't have any cords plugged in. When I turned the intercom off the volume on the radio came up quite a bit.
