Default black soot on rear of bike

What is causing my 09 StreetGlide to have black soot on the rear of the bags and fender? I am using a HeavyBreather A/C with Rineharts. I also have a PC5 with a canned map from Fuel Moto. It seems to run fine and has few decel pops. It does seem to be running hot tho.

Not sure but I think it is carbon dust. You don't see much on a stock bike but when you have a fuel manager like a PC you see more because it has richened up the bike. Plus you have free flowing mufflers.

Have you checked your rear tire? Had a Michelin fall apart on my scoot,it just dusted the back of the bike...

I too think you might be running a little too rich. I also have an '09, I also have the heavy breather, however I only have the stage 1 download as I have not changed my exhaust (yet). BTW - what wheels are you running on your scoot? They look sweet! Thanks -

When I bought the S.G. I had them swap wheels from a classic. Thanks.
