Default 7100 miles

Rode a 09 Ultra Classic 7100 miles in 15 days last month. Left Pa. and circled the west as far north as Wa. and then across the south. Temps from 39F in Montana to 120F in the Mojave desert and a major traffic jam in 95F. Gave the heat management system a good work out. 100 mph across the plains. My buddy rode a 09 Ultra Classic as well. Not one problem. Them Harleys are tough.

Stock seat. I am changing it for sure before the ride to Alaska next year. Hand grips too. They are to small in dia. for my hands and tend to make them cramp. Thank goodness for cruise.

Sounds like a great ride! They're great bikes to rid long distances.

I'm on my way home from a similar ride on my '10 Limited - NY to CA and back. Only problem I've had is that the display on the radio stopped working a few days ago. Called the dealer and they're ordering a replacement for me so that it can be swapped when I get back home.

Sounds like a great ride, Wreckman. Always nice to read a positive post. FWIW no issues at all with my EG either.

Those long ones are fun, aren't they? I did just over 9000 miles back in late 05 with a Screamin Eagle RoadGlide.....still miss that bike! I think I was gone 16-17 days. I WILL do it again some day.

Garycoho

Most of the information I get on a Alaska ride always talks of tire problems. What is the cause of all the tire damage?
