Question replacing shock oil

i recently replaced the shock oil (low profile shocks) in my 08 road king. i used the suction method to drain the shocks and each shock only had 7oz. of oil. is this normal? other posts seemed to indicate around 10oz. I put back in 7oz. of 20w fork oil in each shock and still bottom out riding 2 up.

I asked the dealer if anything could be done about air shocks to improve ride and they said no. I've heard of fork oil change but not shocks.

Rip out that crap HD suspension, get a set of Progressive 440's for the back, and a Progressive fork kit for the front.

My EGC rides like a freakin BMW now and handles as good as my rice bikes

I just did this to my 13" shocks, and I built a jig in about 5 minutes with leftover 2x4's and a couple of long bolts. I turned the shocks upsidedown and pumped the fluid out of them, then turned them over and pumped them while I put in the new 10wt fluid.
Can't remember how much I put in, but the ride is so much better now.
