Default 2009 Idle Air Control

I'm trying to diagnose an idling problem on my '09 Ultra. For the life of me I do not seem to be able to find the IAC motor or even a mention of it in the service manual. The one on my '07 RK was right on top of the induction module. Does anyone know where it is, whether it can be swapped out, etc?

Thanks

The ECM controls the throttle plate and you can use the SEPST to adjust cranking throttle position etc. No IAC necessary.

So in essence, the ECM is controlling the idle directly rather than using a slave IAC? Is that correct?

As stated, no IAC on TBW. Throttle control actuator attached to induction module.

The IAC was only necessary on your 07 because the throttle plate wasnt able to be moved by the computer, so to let more or less air into the engine a throttle plate bypass valve (IAC) is used.

The Throttle By Wire uses a stepper motor to electronically open and close the throttle plate, therefore the ECM can directly control the throttle plate and let more or less air into the motor as required.

The effect is the same - when the idle speed is too low the ECM opens the IAC or TBW throttle plate to let more air in and opens the injectors longer to put more fuel in, and does the reverse to reduce idle speed.

Whats your bike doing wrong?
