Hey all, thinking on doing my own service from now on. Have been paying HD for this since new (due for 20000 mile service). Which manuals are the better, or is a download or CD best? Lots of options out there, but want to buy something that covers everything. Any suggestions
I found one on ebay for $9.99. Don't think it was legal though......sent money via paypal and received a pdf link for my 02. Printed it off and spent over $100.00 for paper and ink! LOL.
Get the factory units first. The parts book is useful for buying parts as you have the number and name of part with you. Also great exploded drawings. Then pick up aftermarket manual. This will be a less technical piece and designed for non professional wrenchers. Combine the two and pick up the best tools you can afford and the job will go smooth. I've bought alot of 1/4" drive impact socket pieces. Strong, reduced overall size compared to 3/8" pieces, and get into tight spots.
