Default Slip-ons

Im sure this has been asked before and I apoligize since Im a newbee here. Ive got a 2010 Ultra Classic and was wanting some slip-ons. Im being told that even with slip-ons that I need a dyno and a stage 1 download. I was under the impression that all you needed to do was slip them on and be done with it. I can understand needing all of that if I was buying an entire exhaust system. Im only trying to save some money and get a straight answer .

If you only change your slip-ons, you should be fine. Change you filter, then you need a fuel manager. Some popular slip-ons here are Fuel Moto. I ran them without a tuner for a couple months, they were fine. Runs like a raped ape with a SE A/C and PC-V.

With slip-ons IMO you don't really need anything else but if you really want to get the most out of them you need to go to stage 1 air intake and fuel management!

I rode my 2009 with just putting slip ons (muffler change) on for 11,000 miles with no problems what-so-ever.

I installed rush slip ons and my bike was popping like crazy on decel. So I am going to get a power commander and big sucker before I put them back on. It was probably an exhaust leak, but now that I have heard the thunder of a better pipe, I want the power from it too.

I have done some research on this subject for my own bike, I found that if you put on slip-ons up to a 2" baffel and use the stock air filter you will be fine,,if your baffel is larger than 2", you'll need fuel managment, if you use a high flow air filter with any slip-on , you'll need fuel managment
