Default leftover 2010 RG price?

Stopped at the dealer and asked about a 2010 Road Glide plain jane, no ABS, no security, no cruise, Vivid Black. They offered it at $17,750 and as I was walking out the door the salesman said "shoot us an offer!" So I'm thinking about it. What is a reasonable offer? $16.9 might make me a Fugly member.

16.9 is a solid number for that.

if you think $16,900 is a reasonable number offer him $16,500,...a bit low but NOT crazy enough to turn him off, then he''ll probably counter offer and you guys can "split the difference" and proabably end up around $17,000.
see if you can get him to throw in some accessories too...even if its just a backrest suet-up. Remember that stuff costs them ALOT less then it "costs"
I predict you'll be riding that RG this weekend. You guys are not far enough apart to not make the deal happen. and whatever you do DONT let $500 bucks come between you and that sweet ride.(i spend alot of time wishing i got one).. it's litterally a few dollars a month in your payment.

Like Mike1158 said.....go lower and see what happens.
He may bite, otherwise you can always go back and offer something more.

I am not a rich person, but I would not let a difference of $500 kill a deal. Offer $1000 under the asking price and meet them in the middle if needed. In the grand scheme of things, anything less than a $1000 is basically one round of mods (seat, bars, bags, etc.). Your enjoyment level should way overcome sub 1K price differences. Some people get way too hung up on how great a deal they can work.

$2000 off msrp is the going rate for leftovers at my dealership so $16,999 would probably be a good number

The HD book says $18999 is MSRP and the salesman said 2000 off, but they had the bike listed at $19750 - 2k= $17750. Like I said, no options that I could see. It doesn't make sense. I'm betting they have room to work with on this one.
Also, I thought the "Street Glide" wheel was standard in the 10 RG, but this had the normal touring rim. Is the SG style wheel an option?
