Had the same happen to me and I finally had to peel back the black shrink tape and found a pinched wire from the housing.

Like everyone else stated, check for pinched wire - been there, done that, have the T-shirt. I had my radio and left side handle bar switches doing all kinds of funny stuff until I found the problem at the switch housing case.

Dude - open those switch housings and look carefully - your symptoms are clasic for pinched wire in the housings. Like someone elsa said, you may need to peel back some plastic conduit to find it.

Don't know how you're doing with the problem but I have also been having some "electrical" issues. The key light icon will come and stay on from time to time.
I sought out some advice from a very well respected member here and in addition to checking different parts, he also suggested downloading any error codes the system may be holding.

Good luck
