decals on tank
Does anyone know if the tank decals(stickers) on the tank are applied after the clearcoat.

you can tell by touching them with your fingers that they're under the clearcoat.

Yes, the decals are added before the clear coat
Makes it hard to change to a different emblem. It's odd why the MOCO has decals for emblems on some bikes but plates for others.

under clear, just sanded one down a month ago. seems like they laid it on thick on the tank.

I noticed that on the baggers seems the Limited has the plates and the others have the decals.

I just bought a secondhand 09 RG tank to fit on my old Glide and the finish is excellent, with the decals coated over. I'm going to have to seriously improve the appearance of the rest of my paintwork to match up to it!
